Additionally, WCCC posted a $C11 million net loss for the year, primarily due to additional administration and exploration costs of $C7 million for the first nine months. Dillon began shipping pulverized coal injection (PCI) coal last December, reporting total production thus far of 284,000 tonnes and 152,000t shipped at a mean price of $C74.65 per tonne.

WCCC was successful in securing a price of over $US100/t this year; meanwhile, in support, it has applied to expand production at Dillon by over 80,000t monthly. Should it prevail, total output at Dillon for the current year could top 800,000t.

Additionally, government approval has been received for the company’s Wolverine project. A total output for Wolverine has been projected at 2.4Mtpa.
